A primitive side table stool with a simple honest construction with splayed legs and an organic slab top retaining its live edge.
This late 20th century piece is from the workshop of Alan Acornman Grainger, one of the distinguished ‘Yorkshire Critter’ furniture makers who its said trained under Robert Mouseman and, like his mentor, created a trade mark which was carved into all pieces, in this case an acorn. Grainger was well known for quality oak furniture made in the Arts and Crafts tradition.
