Set of Vallauris Plates

£180.00
sold out

A set of six French handcrafted Mid Century Vallauris ceramic dinner plates c. 1950. These circular forest green vintage plates are made and signed by Humbert Pittari, and produced in France's famous pottery region of Vallauris. Picasso lived in Vallauris where he experimented with the craft, and the International Biennial of Ceramics is still held in the town.

The handmade nature of each piece means there is great depth and interest to the colour and glaze. As these are essentially plain, they can easily be paired with other pieces or sets of different colour and pattern.

Each plate is 23 x 23 cm and stamped on the back ‘H Pittari Vallauris’

Priced as a set of 6.

Some light signs of age in places as can be expected, but no cracks or chips.
