Woven Rope Bench

£1,250.00

A 20th Century woven seat in a rare longer size. This two seat bench dates from Sweden c. 1940 and looks like the work of Axel Larsson for Bodafors. Constructed in steam bent beech wood, the frame features gently curved arms and a chequerboard papercord rope weave to the seat and back. With its simple streamlined design and mix of natural materials, this piece will bring texture to a space and add a rustic yet modernist feel.

W 111.5cm

D 60cm

H 81cm (seat height 40cm)

Original weave, a couple of staples at the rear and a couple of loose/missing threads but overall sturdy and the frame is sound.
